On December 6th, the People's Government of Sichuan Province issued the "Development Plan for Power Grid in Sichuan Province (2022-2025)", which pointed out the flexible regulation of new energy storage and the planning and construction of "new energy+energy storage" facilities. In principle, new wind and photovoltaic power generation projects should be equipped with new energy storage facilities no less than 10% of installed capacity and with a storage time of more than 2 hours to provide backup for the peak power supply, Build grid side energy storage power stations at the end of the power grid and remote areas, encourage the aggregation and utilization of decentralized energy storage facilities such as uninterruptible power supplies, electric vehicles, and user side energy storage, and provide services to various links of power system transmission and distribution. By 2025, strive to achieve a new energy storage scale of over 2 million kilowatts in the province.

Key projects for new energy storage:

1. On the power side: Build the first batch of integrated optical and energy storage projects in Ganzi Prefecture, the Ganzi Prefecture High Altitude New Energy Storage Demonstration Base, and the Xinlong County Power Supply Guarantee Optical and Energy Storage Project;

2. Grid side: Construction of 100 MW all vanadium flow battery energy storage power station, compressed carbon dioxide energy storage and other demonstration projects, research on demonstration load center area energy storage, distribution network rural energy storage, load side remote shared energy storage and other pilot projects;

3. Build projects such as distributed energy supply system energy storage, near zero carbon emission park energy storage, and Internet of Vehicles (V2G) charging stations on the user side.
